I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted… I should really keep up with my post but life gets busy. Today’s post is about women all shapes and sizes.
I woke up early this morning to do a yard sale. It’s been a little steady but when it’s been slow I’ve picked up my phone and cruised around on Facebook. I go to a girls page that I’ve been inspired by because of her drive and dedication to her weight loss. I was reading one of her post and cheering her on in my head as she was talking about being a trainer even though she wasn’t a small person and just thinking wow she really has it going on. Then she ends that post by saying “Women need to occasionally be motivated by real women!” Excuse me just because I’m 4″11 and 104 lbs doesn’t make me any less of a woman than you. Or Sally who’s 6″3 and weighs 187 Or Jackie who’s 5″2 and weighs 166. We are all women of equal rights. The only thing that makes anyone less of a woman is if they make that decision themselves. A poor attitude claiming you are a “real woman” because of your size weather it’s tall, short, skinny, chubby, fit, or any other body type does not make you a real woman.
I have gotten real tired of women bringing eachother down. We should be lifting eachother up! Encouraging one another to better ourselves in every way possible. We are all beautiful and need to be reminded of that at times.
I’ve really been trying to make it a goal of mine to complement random ladies each day. It’s always nice to see their face light up and I hope it makes their day.
So today I challenge you to not only complement someone but find something that you love about yourself. Make a list of things your love about yourself and then learn to love everything else you didn’t write down. You Are Who You Are, And You Are Beautiful!!! Today I had a big no scale victory! Last summer after I had my daughter I was pretty distraught I was wearing M shirts and size 5 pants. That may not seem like a big deal to some but keep in mind I’m very short and petite built so those are not the sizes I’m used to. Even through the winter I stayed in those sizes. I couldn’t stand to see myself in the mirror. I was very unhappy and just wanted to be comfortable with the way I looked. So I took control over my life and stopped thinking negative about myself. There’s a saying that goes “You have to fake it to make it” so every morning I woke up telling myself I was stronger and better then I was the day before. Each day I saw small positive changes in myself not only physically but mentally.
Now in the best way possible none of my clothes fit! They are all way to baggy on me. So since there were some awesome sales going on today I took myself on a little a shopping trip. I was so proud that I was able to buy XS shirts and size 0 short. That is what I wore in high school 5 years ago! I guess you really do have to fake it to make it because all my hard work is paying off. I even went out on a limb and bought a crop top. I’m not sure if I’ll ever wear it but at least I have the option to.
In social media today is “Transformation Tuesday”. Sooo… today I’m going to show you my transformation from February 8, 2014 to today May 20, 2014 and tell you a little bit of what I’ve done.
I started out at home with Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and Killer Abs which are both great workouts and I still do them time to time but they just weren’t my “IT” workout. I didn’t see much of a weight difference. A lot of that was because of diet. I wanted to eat healthy but had no clue where to start.
Shortly after I came into my fitness journey I met the wonderful (let not forget gorgeous inside and out) Melissa McAllister on Facebook. I had stocked her instagram for months because she shares the most amazing workout videos that she does all on her own. I finally got brave enough to message her and ask her a few questions and when she told me about the 21 Day fix it just felt right! So there I was at the beginning of a whole new story.
The 21 day fix isn’t just amazing workouts. It also teaches you about what to eat and portion control. It was exactly what I needed. It got me on the right track of my fitness journey.
You all saw my awesome results with the first round of 21 day fix. Well I tried to start again but was wearing myself out. I had a lot going on plus I was running nearly everyday pushing my two kids in a jogging stroller so I just kind of stopped the 21 day fix and did my own workouts focusing on my core and ate really healthy.
The Monday after mothers day My sister in law started The 21 day fix with me again and we are going strong!! Once again I’m see AMAZING results and loving every bit of it.
Now some of you may be curious what my diet is like. Well I’ve been super strict the past two weeks and stuck to lean white protein meats, veggies, fruit and quinoa. Yup very simple but I keep it interesting by changing up my recipes. I really believe diet has played the biggest role in my weight loss and I will continue to keep it up. I’m not saying I won’t ever have a cheat meal but I will do it in moderation and not let it take over my body like I have in the past. I love my body that I have worked hard for… not just for the looks but for my health. It has been a very long time since I have felt like I’ve had so much extra energy.

Yesterday I started the 21 day fix again! Today was day two and I was so proud that on the first round of circuit one I did 40 pushups in 60 seconds. Then in the second circuit I made it to 45 pushups! Did I mention right after pushups you go into one minute planks?! Yeah it was intense and amazing!!! I thought I would never be able to do push ups but guess what I’m doing them. A few months ago I struggled doing modified pushups so this is a HUGE deal for me.
On top of eating clean I am also doing a detox cleanse. I recently had some medical issues and was super bloated so I need to clean my body out. By the end of this 21 days I plan to have these last 5-8 lbs off and have a more defined core. I’m still doing up to 3 days of running with the kids in a stroller so I feel like that will be a plus on top of my No Excuse Moms meet ups. I’m looking forward to taking you through this process with me and showing my final results after the 21 days.
I have not posted in a while! Every time I start to something happens and I end up forgetting. So here it goes!
I am now the Group leader for our towns No Excuse Moms group. We meet up twice a week and workout while the kids have play time. Just starting out was pretty slow But each week we are adding more mom’s. Its really amazing to see so many different types of women coming together not only to motivate but to empower one other. We are all beautiful no matter what shape or form we come in. I’m truly thankful for all the No Excuse Moms who are leading a wonderful example to not only their children but to their community. That includes EVERY No Excuse Mom around the world.

One an update on my personal goals. I am now 5-8LBs (give or take) away from my goal weight. I’m not displeased with the weight I’m at now so if I stayed here and continue to tone up I will be pleased. Although I should be keeping up with all of my other workouts I’ve really been focusing on my core lately. My goal is to build up strong abs. I’m hoping this will help tighten up my belly skin and help me feel more comfortable about my stomach. On top of my core workouts I’ve picked up running! I was actually surprised by how easy it was for me to do. I even stepped out of my comfort zone and stuck both kids in a jogging stroller and just took off. To my surprise they both loved it and pass out every time we go. I’ve really been struggling with my clean eating lately. By trying to please My husband I haven’t been as strict on what I’ve ate as I was doing. This week I am hitting It hard and going to be very strict on myself. By June I want to be ready to rock that red bikini I had before I got pregnant with my oldest. FYI I’m almost there!!! I tried it on and surprisingly my stomach muscles Look a lot better now then they did back in summer 2010. The only thing I’m not happy about is the extra skin around to belly but I am watching it slowly tighten back up. Very pleased with my results. Anyways it is getting way to late for this mama and duty calls in the morning!
I just finished The 21 Day Fix through beach body today. I loved it!! I followed the meal plan that was included, completed each workout, and drank my shakeology everyday. My hard work and dedication has really shown as I’m losing My mommy pooch. Yes I still have a lot more to do to reach my goal but I’m super proud of myself for doing and finishing each day in the 21 day fitness. I’m not going to lie it was not easy. There were days I wanted to quit… mostly on cardio days. I stuck with it and I’m glad I did. I will continue my meal plan but I’m fixing to start a new challenge with a group from my challenge page. I wanted to do this challenge with them every step of the way but after I finish it I am planning to do the 21 day fix again or finally start and finish Insanity!
I haven’t really talked about my beach body business in awhile so I wanted to tell you all why I’m doing it and why I love it!
I joined beachbody because I love all the workouts I’ve done through them and think you will too! I’ve done Turbo Jam, P90X (in the past), and attempted Insanity (it killed my knees but I think I have built up some endurance to finally complete it). I also joined because this summer I’m finally going to get certified as a personal trainer and thought what a great way to get my feet wet. Becoming a personal trainer has been a dream of mine but after I got pregnant with my son I guess I kind of chickened out.
I’m really glad that I joined beach body. It has really showed me how to open up to others and given me the opportunity to meet new friends. I love that I get to share a lifestyle that I believe in with others that truly makes their lives happy and healthier!
I’m really looking forward to this journey with beach body. I can’t wait to add others to my team and watch them grow. I would love to get certified in several of the programs to teach them in classes for others to join. My time will come and I can’t wait for you to join me!

This post is for you mommies! Especially c-section mommies since I’ve had two. I remember being told my skin will not go back to how it was. I thought I was going to have this wrinkly belly forever. That is until I started doing my own research and actually working out (and sticking with it).
My first c-section was March 9th 2011. I was huge with my son. I gained a ton of water weight and swelled something horrible. I lost all my baby weight pretty fast but was so upset with the way my stomach looked. I have very few stretch marks but they are the silver stretch marks so it a hard to see them. I didn’t work out at all after my son was born so I was defiantly not in shape even though I had lost all my baby weight. Then I had my second c-section with my daughter. The baby weight came off fast again and I actually worked out for about 2 months. Nothing heavy just some simple work outs. Shortly after I started a new birth control and I started having break through bleeding. I gained quite a bit of extra weight. You can imagine I was not thrilled about this! I had stopped working out and got to the point where I hated to look at myself in the mirror. I thought it was impossible to lose my mom belly. I just assumed I would have that mommy pouch all the time. I was so wrong.
Week by week I am seeing it disappear. I am in no way ripped with muscle. I know I still have a lot of work to do. But hey… I’m getting off the couch and doing something about it. I am learning discipline! I see my stomach skin toning up and losing the wrinkles that I was so self conscious about. I see little muscles popping out and forming each week.
I really just do not want to see you mommies getting disappointed. You can look anyway you want after having a baby. You just have to choose what kind of figure you want and work hard for it!

My Journy Update
My weight has pretty much stayed where it’s been but each week I am seeing significant changes in my body. My back muscles are really popping out and my arms and legs are toning up very nicely. Each week I see my belly getting smaller and tighter. I love watching my body change. It is so amazing how much a week can change your body. I sure hope you all will join me in my next challenge! I want to make a new post every week/weekend but this weekend I am going to be extremely busy with my baby boys 3rd birthday. Gezzz time sure flies when you’re having fun!!! Just an update on my goals…
I started this journey at 123. Yes some of you may say WOW I wish I was 123 but you have to keep in mind that I am only 4″11 and my stomach was not toned up at all. I’m happy to say I am now down to 111.5 my goal being 100 like I was before I ever got pregnant. At this point I am really starting to see some muscle definition and would not be upset if I stopped losing as long as I continued to tone up the way I am. I’m super excited and so glad I get to share this experience with you!
So I’m really proud of myself. I started this journey wanting to lose 20lbs. I’m proud to say I am down 10 so far and No one can stop me! A couple years ago I had someone come up and ask me if I was ever going to grow up. (If you don’t know me I’m very short right at 4″11) Before I could say anything this person goes on to say you know some people they grow tall and other just grow out the other way so you must grow out the other way. WHAT? I really didn’t know what to say to this person. I was just in awe and hurt. It didn’t make it any better that it was one of my own family member that said this to me. I mean come on…. at the time I was only 100lbs. Gezzz I want I would give to be 100lbs right now. Haha Anyways here I am today thinking this person will not win. I will fight until the end. I will not let anyone tell me that the only way I can grow is to grow out. I am growing muscles and becoming stronger everyday.
Here is just an update on what I’ve had going on the past few days…
I started The 21 Day Fix with beach body on Thursday and love it! I’m not going to say it’s easy because I’d be lying to you. I thought it would be pretty easy for me since I’ve been working out already by but my body must have grown accustomed to the work outs I was doing. My body is sore! In a good way. I am seeing a lot of new muscle definition coming in and am so proud/excited. Still working on toning my lower stomach but hey it’s not going to happen over night. It is getting there though!
Something new I’ve tried this week is Shakeology. Guys I love it!!! Its all whole foods and taste delicious. I like to do a cup of water, half cup of frozen strawberries, a tsp of unsweetened coco powder with a scoop of vanilla Shakeology. Just talking about it makes me want on. It defiantly helps with the sweet tooth. If you are interested in trying it out let me know and I can show you were to order yours!

Two weeks of eating clean and working out
First off I am just going to start by saying I am by no means a writer! Second yes this is linked to my facebook and if you don’t want to see it either do not read it or delete me. It will not hurt my feelings. I’m doing this for myself! I did pictures to document both of my pregnancies with my body changing everyday. I intend to do the same thing as I get fit and document it with words so that maybe it will inspire someone else.
I started out this journey just thinking I could eat whatever and work out hard to see results. Well let me be the first to tell you I was wrong. So I made a meal plan of clean eating and have stuck to it and my workout routine for two weeks and down 5lbs today. 🙂 (Yay me!) Today I braved up and decided to take a big challenge for myself! I signed up as a Beach Body Coach and will be doing a 21 day challenge. I will be doing 7 different 30 min workout 3 times each and following a basic meal plan. I’m also anxious to tryout Shakeology! I’m looking for 1-3 more people to try this challenge out with me for some support so if you are interested please join me! I’d love to have some support and maybe we can meet up a few days and do the work outs together!
Anyways I really just wanted to document this new journey so I can look back in a few year and say “WOW! I’ve come a long ways!”. I would love if you followed me and possibly even joined me in this challenge. Even if you are miles away we can still do this together!
