Today I had a big no scale victory! Last summer after I had my daughter I was pretty distraught I was wearing M shirts and size 5 pants. That may not seem like a big deal to some but keep in mind I’m very short and petite built so those are not the sizes I’m used to. Even through the winter I stayed in those sizes. I couldn’t stand to see myself in the mirror. I was very unhappy and just wanted to be comfortable with the way I looked. So I took control over my life and stopped thinking negative about myself. There’s a saying that goes “You have to fake it to make it” so every morning I woke up telling myself I was stronger and better then I was the day before. Each day I saw small positive changes in myself not only physically but mentally.


Now in the best way possible none of my clothes fit! They are all way to baggy on me. So since there were some awesome sales going on today I took myself on a little a shopping trip. I was so proud that I was able to buy XS shirts and size 0 short. That is what I wore in high school 5 years ago! I guess you really do have to fake it to make it because all my hard work is paying off. I even went out on a limb and bought a crop top. I’m not sure if I’ll ever wear it but at least I have the option to.



Transformation Tuesday

Collage 2014-05-20 19_46_2020140517_234139-120140517_234132-120140517_234145-1In social media today is “Transformation Tuesday”. Sooo… today I’m going to show you my transformation from February 8, 2014 to today May 20, 2014 and tell you a little bit of what I’ve done.


I started out at home with Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and Killer Abs which are both great workouts and I still do them time to time but they just weren’t my “IT” workout. I didn’t see much of a weight difference. A lot of that was because of diet. I wanted to eat healthy but had no clue where to start.


Shortly after I came into my fitness journey I met the wonderful (let not forget gorgeous inside and out) Melissa McAllister on Facebook. I had stocked her instagram for months because she shares the most amazing workout videos that she does all on her own. I finally got brave enough to message her and ask her a few questions and when she told me about the 21 Day fix it just felt right! So there I was at the beginning of a whole new story.


The 21 day fix isn’t just amazing workouts. It also teaches you about what to eat and portion control. It was exactly what I needed. It got me on the right track of my fitness journey.


You all saw my awesome results with the first round of 21 day fix. Well I tried to start again but was wearing myself out.  I had  a lot going on plus I was running nearly everyday pushing my two kids in a jogging stroller so I just kind of stopped the 21 day fix and did my own workouts focusing on my core and ate really healthy.


The Monday after mothers day My sister in law started The 21 day fix with me again and we are going strong!! Once again I’m see AMAZING results and loving every bit of it.


Now some of you may be curious what my diet is like. Well I’ve been super strict the past two weeks and stuck to lean white protein meats, veggies, fruit and quinoa. Yup very simple but I keep it interesting by changing up my recipes. I really believe diet has played the biggest role in my weight loss and I will continue to keep it up. I’m not saying I won’t ever  have a cheat meal but I will do it in moderation and not let it take over my body like I have in the past. I love my body that I have worked hard for… not just for the looks but for my health. It has been a very long time since I have felt like I’ve had so much extra energy.

I’m at it again!


Yesterday I started the 21 day fix again! Today was day two and I was so proud that on the first round of circuit one I did 40 pushups in 60 seconds. Then in the second circuit I made it to 45 pushups! Did I mention right after pushups you go into one minute planks?! Yeah it was intense and amazing!!! I thought I would never be able to do push ups but guess what I’m doing them. A few months ago I struggled doing modified pushups so this is a HUGE deal for me.


On top of eating clean I am also doing a detox cleanse. I recently had some medical issues and was super bloated so I need to clean my body out. By the end of this 21 days I plan to have these last 5-8 lbs off and have a more defined core. I’m still doing up to 3 days of running with the kids in a stroller so I feel like that will be a plus on top of my No Excuse Moms meet ups. I’m looking forward to taking you through this process with me and showing my final results after the 21 days.
